Three men arrested for robbery in Middleton

Three men were arrested for robbery in the early hours of Tuesday (20 September) after officers stopped a vehicle on Colson Drive Middleton.
Two men were spoken to butd a third had made off into the woods. Officers conducted checks on the men and the vehicle and it transpired the vehicle was on false plates and had been taken in a robbery a few months earlier.
Officers requested the help of the police helicopter and a dog patrol to try and find the third man.
When the dog handler arrived he set his dog to work and picked up a track and found the third man hiding in bushes.
All three males were arrested for robbery.
