Dogs, people and music generate most noise nuisance complaints in Rochdale

Dogs, people and music are the top three noise nuisance complaints in Rochdale.

Data compiled by Cirrus Research showed there were 967 noise nuisance complaints in the borough - approx 4.5 complaints for every 1,000 residents - in 2015, which put Rochdale fourth of the ten Greater Manchester boroughs in the number of complaints per 1,000 residents.

Bury topped the noisy neighbour poll with approximately 12 complaints per 1,000 head - 647 complaints over the 12 months covering a population of 55,800.

Manchester Borough came second with seven complaints per 1,000 - 3,496 complaints within a population of 514,400.

Oldham came third with five complaints per 1,000 - 1,121 complaints within a population of 224,900.

Cirrus Research gathered the data via a series of Freedom of Information requests to local authorities.
