Date published: 19 August 2016
A man had to be cut out of a car and taken to hospital with serious injuries after a road traffic collision on Friday afternoon (19 August) on Croxton Avenue in Belfield, Rochdale.
Police were called shortly before 1.00pm after a silver Skoda Fabia and a blue Volkswagen Touran were involved in the incident which caused the Skoda to land on its side.
Ambulance and fire crews attended to cut the man out of the Skoda, whilst a passenger was able to get out the vehicle himself.
The Volkswagen is believed to have been stationary without any passengers inside.
The collision has forced the road to be closed but it should open again shortly.
