Wardleworth residents in community clean-up

The Wardleworth residents took part in a community clean-up on Saturday, 13 August.

The young and the elderly came together to lend their support and take part.

Residents divided themselves in teams and picked up 24 bags of litter.

Local ward councillors, Syed Ali Ahmed and Sultan Ali, the Chairman of Bangladesh Association and Community Project (BACP), Muhibur Rahman and Secretary, Abdul Basith actively took part in the street cleaning.

Habibul Ahad, BACP Centre manager, said: “The aim was to inspire the residents to take pride in where they live and educate them to take ownership in keeping their neighbourhood clean.”
