Local police officers visited Hopwood Hall College last week to meet school children who were taking part in the College’s holiday club.
Inspector Kris Williams and PC Tracey Lowe chatted to the youngsters. To the children’s delight, they also let them try out real handcuffs, don their hats and explore the patrol vehicle.
Inspector Kris Williams said: “We had a fun visit to Hopwood Hall College, where Paul Driver, the sports arena manager, and his team are doing some great work with young people from the area.
“It’s good to know that they’ve created such a safe and positive environment for children to enjoy themselves and maybe even wear themselves out before they go home.
“Even got to shake the rust off the handcuffs; I’ve never known so many people to be keen to try them on.”
