Fire behind food store on Well I’ Th’ Lane

Well I’ Th’ Lane, Rochdale
A fire involving a mattress behind a food store on Well I’ Th’ Lane, Rochdale, was dealt with by firefighters from Heywood and Chadderton on Saturday (6 August).
The firefighters spent approximately one hour at the scene after the fire had spread to an unoccupied building. They used a hose reel and short extension ladder as well as breaking in gear and a hearth kit to put out the fire.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
