Jane Brown wins trip of a lifetime to Rio Olympics

Rochdale resident, Jane Brown, has won a trip of a lifetime for two to the Rio 2016 Summer Olympic Games thanks to furniture company, DFS.

Jane entered the competition online at dfs.co.uk, offering customers nationwide the chance to win and all expenses trip to Rio to celebrate the furniture company’s sponsorship of Team GB.

Jane plans to take her friend on the money-can’t-buy trip, which includes return flights to Brazil, three nights’ accommodation at a four star hotel, a pair of tickets to at least two different pre-selected Olympic Games events and exclusive access to British House, Team GB’s headquarters.

Commenting on her win, Jane said: “I was over the moon when I received the call telling me I had won! I have always wanted to go to Rio, it has been on my wish list for years.

“We’re so happy that we will be able to watch the Olympics and be part of the atmosphere in the fantastic city of Rio.”

Jane and her friend are also planning on visiting the famous Copacabana beach and the spectacular Christ the Redeemer in the time in between cheering on Team GB.

Don Viola, store manager at DFS Oldham, said: “We’re delighted for Jane - what better way to celebrate our partnership with Team GB than by giving one of our lucky customers the chance to win a front seat view of the Olympic action out in Rio.”
