Police have released an E-fit of a man after Amici Lounge was set on fire in Littleborough.

At about 9.30pm on Wednesday 6 July 2016, two men approached Amici Lounge Restaurant on Featherstall Road, Littleborough and after entering at the rear, set fire to three beds in three separate bedrooms, before fleeing on foot.

The Fire Service attended and put out the flames. No-one was injured but extensive damage was caused to the living area of the restaurant on the first floor.

Police have launched an investigation and have released an E-fit of a man that police want to speak to in connection with the arson.

Detective Constable Sam Taylor of GMP’s Rochdale Borough: “It is fortunate that no-one was inside at the time, but this was a deliberate act and the consequences could have been fatal.

“We would like to appeal to anyone who may have been in the area at the time or saw anyone acting suspiciously to come forward.

“If you recognise the man in the E-fit please get in touch with police as soon as possible.”
