Beech House School Prom

Date published: 10 July 2016

The Year 11 Beech House School Prom was held at Karim's Restaurant, where staff and pupils were able to sample a selection of delicious buffet foods from all over the world.

The food was followed by dancing and many of the staff were persuaded to join the students and show off some of their dance moves.

When it came to voting for Prom Queen and King, the teachers had a very tough task on their hands and it was a hotly contested competition. With a three way tie in the voting for Prom King, the waiter had to assist with making the final decision. In the end, Zahra Naqvi was awarded Prom Queen and Sam Clutton was the Prom King.

A spokesperson said: "All in all, it was a fantastic night, in splendid surroundings. The restaurant was decorated beautifully with a cluster of balloons on every table and a floral arch to make the decor extra- special.

"It was the perfect setting to welcome our smart and sophisticated Year 11s.

"The students all looked wonderful, the boys were extremely smart in their suits and the girls wore beautiful and elegant dresses.

"They all looked like the young adults they are and we wish them every success for their futures beyond Beech House.

"Many thanks to the prom committee for their hard work in organising this event."
