Liam Fairclough's unique wedding proposal to Heather Leonard

Date published: 07 July 2016

Liam Fairclough got down on one knee and proposed to Heather Leonard just minutes after being presented with the keys to their new home at the St James’ Place development in Littleborough... she said yes.

Heather, 28, is an administrator at a local printing company, and Liam, 26, is a mobile dog groomer.

Barratt sales adviser, Janet Loughnane, was poised with house keys, champagne and flowers to welcome Liam and Heather to thier new home. Little did she know that the occasion would set the scene for a tender marriage proposal.

Commenting on the romantic moment she unexpectedly witnessed, she said: “It was such a lovely, happy occasion to be a part of. I was delighted for Liam and Heather anyway, as this is their first home together, which is always a little bit special.

“The moment when Liam proposed was absolutely beautiful, and I was just thrilled and honoured to play a small part in such an exciting time in their lives.

“I wish them every happiness in their new home together.”
