Man stabbed in brutal takeaway attack
Date published: 06 July 2016
A 25-year-old victim was taken to hospital with the blade still in his back after a brutal stabbing at Khan’s Takeaway, Milnrow Road, Rochdale.
The victim, who prefers to be anonymous, was stabbed so hard in the back that it took a nine-hour operation to remove the blade, and medics say that it narrowly missed his spine.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed that they attended Rochdale Infirmary on Monday 27 June after the incident.
It is alleged that a group of men came into the shop armed with knives and began hurling racist abuse before the attack took place.
Police investigations are ongoing.
Anyone with information should call police immediately on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
