Kentmere Academy Summer Fair a fantastic success

Date published: 06 July 2016

Kentmere Academy and Nursery hosted their annual Summer Fair for all students, parents and members of the local community last Friday (1 July).

The event played host to a large range of stalls and activities, organised by staff members of the Academy.

These included performances from the school band, face painting stations, selfie booths, competitions, and food & drink stalls.

Members of the local community were invited in to visit the school fair alongside Kentmere’s students to enable the school to reach out to the local residents and parents more, in order to improve links between the school and the local public.

The fair proved a huge success with over 200 people joining the school in what became the best local outreach effort the school has done since becoming an academy and joining the Wardle Multi-Academy Trust in February 2015.

Kentmere Academy Headteacher, Mrs Sarah Isberg said: “We are thrilled with the success of this year’s Summer Fair. It is fantastic to see so many members of the school community enjoying the event together. Thank you to everyone who attended and we look forward to seeing you at our next event.”
