Richard Howard, who is from St. Vincent’s parish, will be Ordained to the Priesthood on Saturday 16 July at 12 noon in the Cathedral. Richard will celebrate his First Mass as a Priest at 11am on 17 July, here in St. Vincent’s. 

Services this week:
Tuesday 5 July: Eucharistic Service 9.30am.
Wednesday 6 July: Eucharistic Service 9.30am.
Thursday 7 July: Eucharistic Service 9.30am.
Friday 8 July: Eucharistic Service 9.30am.
Saturday 9 July: No 12 noon Mass or Confessions today.
Sunday: Mass 6.30pm (Saturday), 9am and 11am. Baptism 12 noon.

Baptisms: By appointment with Fr. Paul.
Marriage: According to diocesan ruling at least 6 months’ notice needs to be given. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament weekdays from 8.30 – 9.30am.

Welcome Club: Parish centre on Thursday’s at 1.30pm.
Toddlers: Wednesday at 1.30pm in the parish centre.
Collection: Thank you for £1119.06 last Sunday. (Gift Aid £488.60. Loose £630.46)

Deanery Prayer: We pray for the retired priests who are living in our deanery of St. Therese of Lisieux.

Foodbank: Contributions to the Rochdale Foodbank from St Vincent's from May2015-May 2016 .The parishioners donated a total of 4,376 items. The average weekly donation was 84 items .The largest amount in one week was 176 items. A big “thank you” to you all for your continued generosity on behalf of the Rochdale Foodbank and the SVP.

Pilgrimage: The coach to the airport will leave St. Vincent’s at 4am on Monday morning.

Leavers Mass: Year 6 will have their Leavers Mass at 6pm on 11 July here in church.

St. Cuthbert’s School: Open Evening on Thursday 7 July from 5.00 – 7.00pm.

Tea/Coffee: All welcome to join us in the parish centre after the 9am and 11am Mass each Sunday.

Sacramental Programme: Children, please remember to return Unit 7 to the sacristy after Mass today.

Choir Practice: There will be no choir practice this Sunday. Practice next Sunday at 7pm in church. 
The Tablet Journal: On sale at the back of church at £3 a copy. You may wish to subscribe to it by post if you find it a good read.

News and diary from Katherine House: Katherine House is a small Christian Conference Centre, 26 Singleton Road, Kersal, Salford, M7 4WL. It is owned and run by the Faithful Companions of Jesus (FCJ), an international Congregation of Catholic sisters. The house is open to people of all faiths and none.

Children in Church: If your child needs to use the toilet during Mass, a parent should accompany the child. Thank you.

Grounds: Volunteers needed for a couple of hours general gardening work on Saturday 9 July from about 9.00am or any day during the following week in the event of bad weather on the Saturday. SVP Volunteers: The SVP furniture warehouse on Hanson St in Middleton is looking to recruit volunteers for a few hours (every week, if possible) for a wide range of work including delivery van driving, PAT testing, warehouse work and general administration. Contact Mike on 0161 653 1840.

Request: The SVP are looking for a fridge/freezer for a family in need. If you have one that you no longer need then please contact Elizabeth Ramsden on 01706 658100.

Year of Mercy: The next talk on Luke, a companion for the Year of Mercy, will take place at St. Michael’s, Whitefield, M45 8NN, on Thursday 21 July 7.30 – 9.00pm. The talk will be given by Fr. Eamonn Mulcahy, a Holy Ghost Father, ‘The Jesus of Luke’. Fr. Mulcahy is always well worth listening to.
