M62 closed between J21, A640 (Milnrow) and J20 A627(M) Rochdale
The M62 is closed and there are severe delays and queuing traffic in both directions between J21, A640 (Milnrow) and J20 A627(M) Rochdale, because of a multi-vehicle accident and debris on the road (11.25am Monday 4 July).
There is congestion to J22, A672 (Rishworth Moor) and to J18, M60 (Simister Island).
11.30am: Fire service are going to cut through the central reservation to assist in relieving trapped traffic on the westbound carriage way.
Police are asking motorists to stay in their vehicles.
