Date published: 22 June 2016
A man who stuffed his jacket with £100 worth of large candles and tried to casually walk out of Dunelm Mill was caught by police.
Officers attended the Whitworth Road store at 1.20pm today (22 June) after calls that the man had ransacked the candle shelves and was walking around carrying the heavy weight of them under his coat.
Greater Manchester Police has confirmed that the man apologised, returned the candles back to the store, and that no further action will be taken.
