Holy Family achieves national quality award

Date published: 17 June 2016

Holy Family has been successful in achieving Stage 2 (Silver) of IIAG (Inspiring Information, Advice & Guidance), a national quality award that is awarded to schools and colleges in recognition of their commitment to delivering quality careers education and guidance to their pupils.

The award is nationally validated by The Quality in Careers Standard.

The assessor was impressed with the hard work of the staff, in particular Mrs Hobson, Careers Co-ordinator.

Mrs Hobson said: "I am delighted we have been awarded Stage 2 of Inspiring IAG and work is already in place to ensure we reach Stage 3 (Gold) by the end of this Summer term.

"We are dedicated to ensuring all our students are able to make well informed decisions about their future. This term all year 10 students will attend a mock interview day in school and a Post 16 taster day off site.

"A Careers Fair for all year groups has been booked for next term."

In order to achieve Stage 3 (Gold) Award school will continue to build upon the good work that they already do in Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance in school and to put into practice the improvements that they have identified on their action plan.
