April’s Hospice to Hospice Walk raised over £18,000
The Hospice to Hospice Walk in April has smashed all fundraising records, raising £18,000 so far, after a record number of Springhill Hospice supporters, 384, put one foot in front of the other on a 7.25 mile circuit, taking a pit stop at Dr Kershaw’s in Oldham.
Astounded isn’t the word said Community Fundraiser Lillie Winterbottom: “Our fundraising record for this event was £11,500, so £18,000, with money still coming, is phenomenal.
“Thank you to everyone involved, all those fantastic walkers and their sponsors, our volunteers, staff and of course, the team at Dr Kershaw’s in Oldham.”
The cost of running Springhill Hospice is £8,200 per day and with £7 out of every £10 need, being raised by the community, this amount of money will keep the Hospice doors open and caring for patients and their families for over two days.

Something as simple as a sponsored walk can make a huge difference to Springhill Hospice patients.
