Beech House School

Date published: 15 June 2016

This week Year 11 Art pupils have been working extremely hard displaying all of their Unit 1 and Unit 2 GCSE art work in preparation for the end of year show and for the AQA moderation. The exhibition was greatly appreciated by pupils, parents and staff who viewed the outstanding achievement.

Beech House School batted first in the u13 rounders match away to Middleton Technology College. Thanks to some strong running the girls managed to get to 4.5 rounders, with some excellent hits from Ellie Jenkinson, and Hira Aqba. Excellent fielding kept Middleton Technology College’s score down and Beech House were ahead with only 6 good balls remaining. Two super hits in the final part of the game resulted in rounders to give the home side the win.

Parents are reminded that, weather permitting, Senior Sports Day will take place on Wednesday 22 June at 1.30pm. The Upper & Lower Prep Sports Day takes place the following day with the same start time. The event on Thursday will be followed by the Friends of Beech House Summer Fair.
