Hamer Community Primary School

Date published: 10 June 2016

The children from Nursery attended our Surestart Centre on Thursday 9 June and enjoyed a performance of “The Broken Toys”. This was an interactive show for the under 5’s about keeping safe in the home.

Also on Thursday our Cricket Team played a friendly match against St Andrew’s. This was a brilliant match played with excellent team spirit on both sides and with the added bonus that Hamer won. We would also like to thank parents for watching and supporting the team. Well done to everyone taking part.

This week, Upper and Lower Key Stage2 children got to enjoy a preview performance of “The Lost Story” at the M6 Theatre. This was a show about creating memories and looking back about the things you liked and remembered fondly from your childhood. Everybody enjoyed the performance and said what a fantastic show.

Any parents who have children due to start Nursery in September please complete the appropriate forms, as soon as possible. Please come to the school office for information thank you.

A reminder, that our sports day will take place on Thursday 23 June. In the morning it will be for Early Years, Foundation Stage together with Key Stage 1 children and after lunch it will be for the Key Stage 2 children. All parents are welcome to come along and show their support.

We would like to thank the Early Year Foundation Stage parents for supporting their children’s learning and creating some amazing sea creatures over half term.
