Has the Wheatsheaf Shopping Centre changed its name?
Date published: 09 June 2016
The Wheatsheaf Shopping Centre with The Bridgewater Centre signage
If you passed the back of the Wheatsheaf Shopping Centre on Wednesday night or Thursday morning you may have been more than a little puzzled by the sudden change of signage.
However, the bright red signs and sudden change of name from The Wheatsheaf Centre to the Bridgewater Centre is nothing to do with a secret takeover. Instead, it was temporarily put there by film crews who have been shooting footage for TV drama Our Girl in the town.
Note: The Wheatsheaf Centre is open as usual and has not changed its name.
