Middleton Health Centre 'outstanding'

Middleton Health Centre, also known as Hope Citadel Healthcare Community Interest Company, has been rated as outstanding by The Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The practice had increased the flexibility and length of its appointments to 13 minutes instead of 10 and could demonstrate the impact of this by reduced use of the accident and emergency services and positive results from clinical audits.
A skilled mix of staff, including a nurse prescriber, counsellors and focused care workers, who organise a wide variety of health and social care related support, were also noted.
Middleton Health Centre was rated as outstanding in the following areas:
- Outstanding - Older people
- Outstanding - People with long term conditions
- Outstanding - Families, children and young people
- Outstanding - Working age people (including those recently retired and students)
- Outstanding - People whose circumstances may make them vulnerable
- Outstanding - People experiencing poor mental health (including people with dementia)
- Specialisms/services - Diagnostic and screening procedures, family planning services, maternity and midwifery services, services for everyone, surgical procedures, treatment of disease, disorder or injury
