Man hospitalised after Middleton flat fire

A man was taken to hospital after a fire took hold of a Middleton flat on Sunday evening (5 June).
Three fire engines attended the scene Broomfield Park after calls that flames had taken hold of the bathroom of a first floor apartment.
Crews from Heywood, Blakeley and Chadderton were on the scene for an hour with two hose reels.
The fire was extinguished before midnight.
No one else is believed to have been hurt in the incident.
