Date published: 31 May 2016

A driver had a lucky escape walking away after a three-car smash on Oldham Road resulted in a car overturned.

Police closed off part of Oldham Road at around 9pm on Monday night (30 May) after a Renault Clio had flipped over and crashed on its roof following a collision with a Vauxhall Astra and an Audi A4.

All drivers and passengers exited the vehicles without help and are understood to have only minor injuries.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “The road was closed off after the incident involving three vehicles. One of them overturned in the road but it appears there was no one taken to hospital.”

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that no-one was trapped in the incident.

North West Ambulance Service confirmed that they attended but no one was taken to hospital.
