Comedy event raises funds for the Alzheimer’s Society
A comedy event at Littleborough Cricket Club in aid of Alzheimer’s Society raised £275 for the Society and its work.
School friends Rebecca Kershaw and Rick Attwood hosted the event and chose the Alzheimer’s Society to benefit as Becky currently cares for her grandmother who is living with dementia.
Steph Larkin, Community Fundraiser for Alzheimer's Society, said: “The effort Becky and Rick have gone to in order to put on this event has been phenomenal, they have contacted local people and businesses who have helped with raffle prizes and they’ve both really put their hearts and souls in to it. Their generous donation will be put to work straight away to help those affected by dementia.”
