Woollen creatures hide in Hare Hill Park
Date published: 19 May 2016
Hundreds of people visited Hare Hill House and park for the Woollen Woods weekend on Saturday.
Woollen animals and flowers were provided by the Townswomen’s Guild, Smithy Bridge Primary School, Scamps and Happy Jacks Nurseries, Knit and Natter Groups and individuals.
The pom-pom making workshop was popular with over 120 children and adults making pom-poms which were then added to the displays.
Elizabeth White organiser said: “The event was a huge success, the park looked amazing and we were very grateful to all those who knitted and crocheted, and to those who helped us set it up. We will definitely be holding the event next year.”
