Friends of Springhill Hospice at Home Service annual afternoon tea party

The Friends of Springhill Hospice at Home Service held their annual afternoon tea party in the Peacock Room at the Crimble Restaurant, Rochdale on Tuesday (10 May).
Rita Bradshaw, Chair of the Friends of Springhill Hospice at Home Service said: “The event which has grown in popularity each year raised a fantastic amount of £1,000 for the charity.
“The party was opened by the Deputy Mayor of Rochdale, Councillor Ray Dutton who along with over 100 other guests including Councillor James Gartside and Councillor Ann Stott enjoyed a fantastic selection of sandwiches along with freshly baked cakes, scones, and fresh tea and coffee.”
“The Peacock Room staff all came in on their day off without pay to help make the afternoon an enjoyable and happy occasion. Local firms provided raffle prizes for the event."
Friends of Springhill Hospice at Home Service are a support and fund raising group which has so far nursed and supported over 600 patients in their own home since its formation three years ago.
