Musicals is the theme for Heywood Charities Fete Parade

The theme for the Heywood Charities Fete this year is 'musicals'.

The carnival parade sets foff rom Sefton Street, near Heywood Train Station, and goes through Heywood to Queens Park. Once in the park there will be stalls, fun fair and stage entertainment. 

George Kinder, Treasurer for the Heywood Charities Fete said: "The last three years have been have been very successful and last year we had over 3,000 visitors into the park.

"Profits from the event are given each year in grants to local worthy community organisations. In March this year we gave out approximately £5,000 from profits made at last year’s Heywood Charities Fete."

The event takes place on Sunday 4 September 2016.

The Heywood Charities Fete has been running in one form or another since the 1930s.
