Richard Howarth charged with murder of Anne-Marie Nield

Richard Howarth has been charged with the murder Anne-Marie Nield, who was found dead at her flat on Sunday morning (8 May).
Howarth (17/06/1974), of no fixed abode, has been remanded to custody and is due to appear at Bury Magistrates Court today (Tuesday 10 May 2016).
At around 10.30am on Sunday 8 May 2016 police were called to a flat on Oldham Road in Rochdale to do a concern for welfare check. On arrival, police discovered the body of Anne-Marie Nield who had suffered multiple injuries.
Assistant Chief Constable Rob Potts from GMP said: “This is a tragic situation and my thoughts are with the family and friends of this poor lady. Our specially trained officers are with them and offering our support at this sad time.
“I want to reassure people that GMP are actively working with Rochdale Council, other partner organisations and the community at large to make sure we do all we can to support those most vulnerable in society and that we robustly tackle those who cause them harm."
