Amanda Eloise Kay: 'A one woman variety show’

Amanda Eloise Kay was the performer doing a show titled ‘A one woman variety show’ at the lunchtime concert at St Mary's in the Baum Church on Wednesday (27 April).
Amanda was introduced by Dr Joe Dawson, who arranges the shows and performers each week, but also took part this time playing the piano while Amanda was performing and singing to the audience.
Amanda showed her talents to the audience. A soprano, she was singing classics. reading Lancashire poetry and other acting works as well as showing her other musical talents playing the guitar, saxophones and even a ukulele.
The audience showed their appreciation at the end and thoroughly enjoyed the show and many wishing her well for the future.
Amanda, who is from Heywood, explained before the performance about life as a performer and the various work she does and the various stage work she has been in and going around the country and the world to perform. She explained about life as actor and a musician. This gave her an idea about doing a one lady variety show to show her many talents as a performer and what life is like trying to get part for shows and the stage in general.
Amanda has an impressive CV in her short career so far. Reading music at Cambridge, she has ppeared live on BBC television and radio and toured America, Europe and Morocco. She attended a prestige drama school in the south and London to learn acting and has also made choral CDs.
