Families enjoy the funfair
Date published: 23 April 2016
Families gathered in the sunshine today (Saturday 23 April) for the St George’s Family Fun Day in the town centre.
Children came from across the borough to enjoy the fun fair, games and haunted house, which will be on the grounds of the outside market until tomorrow.
Among the fun things to do are tea cup rides, hook the duck challenges, and small rides suitable for smaller children, with candy floss, popcorn and hot snacks on hand in mobile vans.
The Family Weekend Funfair is part of council-organised celebrations to celebrate St George’s Day. The fun and excitement will continue tomorrow (Sunday 24 April) until 5.00pm, with all rides priced at £1.50.
