Hamer Community Primary School

Date published: 22 April 2016

Recently some of our Year 4 children enjoyed a Link 4 lLife Tournament at Castleton Baths. Even though it was something they had never tried before, they all put maximum effort in and had a great time. Thank you to Miss Birchenough and Mrs Kershaw for supervising the trip.

On Wednesday this week, school held a Dance Festival for all the 11 IPLCN Schools. Many staff and children came dressed up and had their faces painted. We also had a May Pole dance performed by Springside wheelchair dancers. Thank you to Miss Holden who organised this fantastic event to celebrate the art of dance.

We just wanted to say a big thank you to all parents who came along to the SAT’S preparation sessions held this week. This was to provide an insight into what will be happening in the up and coming test week. As always parent’s continuing support is very much appreciated throughout the school.

Once again we have had our little feathered friends, the chicks in Miss Nicholson’s class. Children have been most excited waiting for them to hatch and start to chirp and gain their feathers etc. They will be collected from school next week to start their new life somewhere lovely,

Bag2School
Sorry for the delay, the Bag2School collection will be next FRIDAY 29 APRIL. Please bring your bags of clean clothing, shoes etc. outside the main front doors of school before 9.00am. Thank you for your support.
