Rochdale MP Simon Danczuk is flying the England flag with pride.
The MP’s constituency office on St Mary’s Gate has been adorned with two flags of St George to celebrate the national day of the patron saint of England on 23 April.
Mr Danczuk said: “Not only are we commemorating St George’s Day, but also the Queen’s 90th Birthday and the 400th anniversary of the death of the great English writer William Shakespeare.
“This is just a start, with the England national football team among the favourites to win Euro 2016, the coming months really could be a great English summer.
“There has never been a better time for a patriotic display and to reflect on the traditional English values of freedom, fairness and strong communities.
“I would encourage all Rochdale residents to join me and fly their St George’s flags with pride.”
