Neighbourhood Policing and Community feedback with Greater Manchester, Deputy Crime Commissioner Jim Battle
Greater Mancheste Deputy Crime Commissioner, Jim Battle visited Deeplish Community Centre with his team.
The session with local residents looked at issues affecting local communities, types of crimes and the way forward.
Mr Battle explained the role of Crime Commissioner and its responsibilities.
Residents from King Street South spoke about ongoing issues in the local neighbourhood. Other local residents raised issues of drugs, domestic volence and anti-social behaviour and how other crimes are affecting local areas.
Mr Battle was given a brief about police and community engagement events in Deeplish and Milkstone where successful police and communities together seminars have been held to promote confidence, partnership working, reporting of crime and awareness in general.
He was also briefed about race hate crime awareness having been raised in local neighbourhoods.
