REAG clean Oldham Road and Broad Lane areas
Date published: 18 April 2016
Members of the Rochdale Environmental Action Group (REAG) cleaned the Oldham Road, Broad Lane, Balderstone Road and adjoining streets and collected ten bags of litter in the area.
REAG also celebrated the birthday of the Chairwoman, Christine Mathewson, in the Springhill Tea Room on Broad Lane. Mary Malik came from Luton and joined the group in cleaning and celebrating the birthday.
Ghulam Rasul Shahad OBE said: “If the residents of any part of the Borough of Rochdale, or a group, would like to work with members of the REAG, we would be pleased to work with them. Members strongly feel that all of us have social and moral responsibility to keep Rochdale tidy."
