Falinge Park High School students pitch advertising idea to Odeon

Date published: 14 April 2016

Well done to Hanjala Ahmed, Dylan Hassett and Sumaya Nila from Falinge Park High School who pitched their interactive advertising idea to Odeon executives in the Odeon Cinema, Leicester Square, London.

Their idea involved refining the Odeon mobile app to use near field technology so that users could receive personal notifications linked with their social media interests.

Unfortunately we were not the winning team however the judges were impressed with the confident delivery and the thoughtful and innovative idea.

As part of the experience pupils also enjoyed a tour of the cinema, set up for a UK premier on the day, and a visit to the projection room.

Other Photography pupils who took part in the competition within school also enjoyed a British Culture tour of London, which took in sights such as Buckingham Palace, Downing Street and the National Art Gallery. Many thanks to all the pupils involved as well as staff members, Mr Lawlor, Miss Kowalski, Mr Dalby, Mr Ashton, and Miss Hoyle.
