Anger as travellers set up camp in Castleton
Date published: 12 April 2016
Residents in Castleton have spoken of their anger as travellers set up camp in Castleton.
Three caravans appeared on the old Dunlop site, next to Tesco last night (Monday 11 April) after cutting through large bolts to gain access.
Concerns have been raised by local Councillor Billy Sheerin, who visited them personally in the hope of moving them on.
He said: “It is totally unacceptable for these travellers to set up camp here in Castleton and on private land too. It is irresponsible and thoughtless and not fair on the people who live here.”
