Woollen Woods in Hare Hill Park
Date published: 07 April 2016
Woollen Woods in Hare Hill Park, in association with the Friends of Hare Hill Park and Springhill Hospice
Littleborough Arts Festival is organising 'Woollen Woods' - decorated trees and individual displays throughout Hare Hill Park - as part of Voluntary Arts Week.
Liz White said: ”Woollen Woods gives everyone a chance to take part in creating a beautiful piece of art.
"Children can make rabbits out of bobbles, experienced knitters can let their imagination rip. As long as they use wool and feature something that would be found in the woodland.”
“We are hoping for 100 hedgehogs, mice, birds, and flowers, etc to create an artwork for Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 May.
"You could see a knitted owl perching in a tree, some crocheted mice or a felted flower.”
Groups/organisations can decorate a tree or have an individual display.
Contact Barbara on 07981 084372.
Individuals can make hedgehogs, mice, birds, and flowers, etc.
There are no rules just make something lovely you would find in a woodland out of wool and leave it at Littleborough Library or contact Liz White:
