RBH Extra Care scheme, Hare Hill in Littleborough
Three developments by mutual housing society RBH have been recognised with places on the shortlist for the 2016 Rochdale Borough Design Awards.
- The RBH Extra Care scheme, Hare Hill in Littleborough, which opened in summer 2015, is the borough’s first purpose-built Extra Care scheme.
- The refurbishment of four blocks of flats on Daventry Road in Kirkholt, Rochdale.
- The new RBH customer centre at St Alban’s House in Rochdale.
Gareth Swarbrick, RBH Chief Executive, said: “We were delighted to find out that three RBH developments had made the shortlist for this year’s design awards. On all three projects, we’ve worked closely with the local community to ensure we deliver great schemes which make a real difference in our neighbourhoods”
The awards celebrate the best in new development design, with a particular focus on the relationship between good design and building successful communities.
For 2016 there are two awards, the overall prize chosen by an expert judging panel and the people’s design award, decided by an online public vote.
