Student Rafael Martins, along with other year 11 boys and teachers at Crompton House, put his hairiest leg forward, all in aid of Springhill Hospice.
A good old fashioned fundraising leg wax bought tears to the eyes but pounds to the coffers as the boys lined up to have their legs stripped, watched by hundreds of pupils from the school.
The hirsute fundraising venture raised an eye watering £315.
