Rochdale Environmental Action Group with representative of Tree of Time

Members of the Rochdale Environmental Action Group (REAG) met with Sean Heron, Co-ordinator of Tree of Time.

He explained purpose of setting up the organisation was for people with skills, knowledge and experience in various walks of life to sharie with other members of the community to help improve quality of lives.

Ghulam Rasul Shahzad, REAG secretary, said: “It is very important that we share our skills, knowledge and experience with other members of the community and improve the quality of life of people around us.

"Being a volunteer for someone who needs it, will not only help him/her but also build up good working relationship between members of the community and develop a sharing and caring attitude.

"Members of the REAG saw it as an opportunity to work with other organisations, share their skills, knowledge and experience with others, encourage others to join in improving the environment of the Borough of Rochdale.

"Sean invited members of the community to come forward and join REAG and Tree of Time to improve the environment of the Borough of Rochdale."
