A video recording of the Pace Egg play performed by school children in Littleborough over 30 years ago has been published.

The Pace Egg is a traditional play performed at Easter.  Historically, it was a legitimate form of begging as performers asked for money from the audience in return for putting on the show.

The video, provided by David Woodhead from Friends of Hare Hill Park, shows children from St Andrew's School in Dearnley performing the play outside Littleborough Coach House on Good Friday in 1984.

Even though the filming is entirely outside the Coach House, there are couple of noticable examples of how Littleborough has changed over the years.  The Coach House has yet to be restored and there are houses on the corner of Victoria Street and Lodge Street that are now public garden area.

Up until recent years, the Curtain Theatre Group performed the play at the Coach House.
