Understanding dementia course
Multicultural arts and Media Centre (MAMC) delivered Understanding Dementia Course Level 2 on 31 March at MAMC.
The course was attended by 28 participants from the Rochdale Borough, Bury and Oldham. The certificates will be issued by Open Awards.
The tutors included Maqsood Ahmed and Mohammed Sarwar, facilitated by Candy James (Manager of Rochdale Memory Clinic).
Sam Rowles, Senior Sheltered Scheme Manager, said: “The understanding dementia course was one of the best courses I have been on in a few years.”
Mohammed Sarwar, CEO of MAMC, said: “This was the first time MAMC delivered an actual accredited course on understanding dementia. We had a lot of demand for the course and we will likely run it again, depending on the funding.
"I am grateful to Candy James for helping participants gain further knowledge about the diagnostic procedures and treatment offered to both carers and people living with dementia.”
