Friday 18 March
Two juveniles were arrested in Heywood on suspicion of attempted burglary.

An appeal has been issued to find Castleton burglars. If you have any information on who is committing burglaries in Castleton or any other area contact the police on 101.

Thursday 17 March
Police report to have seen a pheasant running up Wood Street.

Birch Hill Hospital patient coaxed down from the roof of the John Elliot Unit after three hours of negotiating. Officers confirmed that he was returned to the ward unharmed.

Wednesday 16 March
Overnight burglary at Chichi Nail Tan & Beauty salon on Manchester Road, Castleton. Police are still looking for witnesses.

Burglary occurred Bruce Street, Castleton at approx 11:40pm, offender/s gain access through rear ground floor insecure window.

Sunday 13 March

Overnight burglary on new business premises on Drake Street, central Rochdale. £10,000 of power tools stolen. Rochdale CSI attended the scene. Police are still looking for witnesses.

Saturday 12 March
Burglary at The Old Post Office Ale House in Castleton. Stock, cash and police are still looking for witnesses.

Police rescued a teenage girl who was found with a rope around her neck on a car park on Oldham Road.
