Finn Ashworth and family VIP guests at the launch of the new 4D Lego movie

Date published: 17 March 2016

Excited seven-year-old Finn Ashworth, from Rochdale, was a VIP guest at the Legoland Discovery Centre in Manchester for the launch of the new 4D movie 'The Lego Movie 4D A New Adventure” on Saturday (12 March).

Finn was joined by his mum, Rhi, dad, Martin and auntie, Claire.

Martin said: "Finn loves Lego, there is always some knocking about the house - or under your foot.

"We’ve been to Lego Land a couple of times in the past so we knew what to expect but Auntie Claire hadn’t been so Finn told her all about it on the way."

Finn learnt how to make Lego, competed to save the day on the laser skeleton quest ride, then as he made his way into the main part of Lego Land, Emmet and Wildstyle, from the Lego movie, were there to meet him and give him a cuddle. Finn also got to build racing cars whilst waiting for the film.

The 4D film is "awesome", said Finn.

Finn's dad, Martin said: "3D glasses, smoke and water surprises add to the story which takes you on another journey with Emmet, Wildstyle, President Business and other familiar characters. It’s well worth watching and Finn has added another poster to his wall."

After the film the family built more Lego, chased robbers in cop cars and flew in the air on the Merlin ride, followed by a drink and a cake, into the play area and then onto the Ninjago laser agility game.

Martin added: "A great morning and a film that Finn told all about again on the way home."
