Date published: 14 March 2016
A Heywood resident received a knock at their door from someone claiming to be collecting for the Foodbank and asking for food or donations.
A police spokesperson said; "Local foodbanks do not carry out door-to-door collections. Any donations that residents want to give are best given via the local churches or the basket in Morrisons Heywood."
