Regal Moon re-opening Good Friday
Date published: 11 March 2016
Currently being refurbished the Regal Moon will reopen on Good Friday
The Regal Moon re-opening date has now been confirmed as Good Friday (25 March) following a three month, £700,000 refurbishment.
The popular Wetherspoons pub was one of the businesses devastated by the Boxing Day floods and has since been boarded up and gutted ready for new floors and décor.
There will be a new trademark Wetherspoons carpet as well as one or two new features. New back of house equipment has also been installed and the mechanical and electrical systems updated.
Customers will also notice that the mannequin organist, who once played the organ when the building was a picture house, has had a makeover and will sit above the bar once again.
Pub manager Christopher Riley said: “The Regal Moon was amongst a number of premises in the town which were badly affected by the floods.
“We are looking forward to reopening and welcoming our loyal customers into the pub once more.”
