House fire on Hilltop Drive

Fire crews tackled a house fire on Hill Top Drive, Kirkholt last night (Tuesday 8 March).

Three fire engines attended the scene at 8.10pm after calls that the semi-detached house was in flames.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews were called at 8.10pm to the house. Two fire engines from Rochdale and one fire engine from Heywood attended the scene. Four breathing kits, two hose wheels and one jet were used.

“Crews were on scene for approximately two hours.”

No one is believed to have been hurt.
