Flat on Drake Street destroyed in fire
Date published: 08 March 2016
A fire took hold at a flat on Drake Street in the early hours of Monday morning (8 March).
Three fire engines arrived on the scene in the town centre just before 3:00am, where flames had already taken hold of the building.
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed that although no one was hurt, the fire has destroyed the flat.
A spokesperson said: “Three fire engines attended the scene from Rochdale and Littleborough after calls that there was a fire on Drake Street. The fire was extinguished, but the flat is no longer habitable.”
