Update On 'Assisted' Manslaughter

Two Rochdale men are being sentenced at Manchester Crown Court for pleading guilty to assisted manslaughter.

 

Mohammed Aslam from Rochdale, and Imran Aslam, of Mentmore Road, were working together in the attack, when victim Mr Hussein was shot in the back on Tweedale Street, shortly before 7.35pm on Sunday 14 November 2004.

 

Mohammed Aslam has been sentenced to five years in prison at Manchester Crown Court. Imran Aslam, who has pleaded guilty to assisting the offender, will be sentences on Thursday 19 May.
