Beech House Lower Prep celebrate World Book Day

World Book Day was celebrated at Beech House Lower Prep School today (Thursday 3 March).

The school celebrated books and reading with children dressing up in their favourite book character.

Beech House Lower Prep School winners were:

Nursery:

Inaaya Jahangir – ‘Cat in the Hat’

Miss Pepper – Witch from ‘Room on the Broom’

Reception:

Herrera Rafique – ‘Mad Hatter’

Mrs Caulcutt – ‘Snow White’

Year 1:

Saud Tabassam – ‘Woody’

Miss Wellington – ‘Alice in Wonderland’

Year 2:

Camilla Zebedee-Howard – ‘Fantastic Mr Fox’

Miss Marcroft – ‘Where’s Wally?’

World Book Day is a celebration! It’s a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and (most importantly) it’s a celebration of reading. In fact, it’s the biggest celebration of its kind, designated by UNESCO as a worldwide celebration of books and reading, and marked in over 100 countries all over the world.
